Photo of the murderer from Graz published: It is unthinkable that he could have done this

Kronen Zeitung writes that the photos of the killer taken earlier show a young man with blond hair.

On one of them, he holds a cat in front of him; on the other, he poses as a typical teenager - it is unthinkable that such a person would later cause bloodshed. He lived with his single mother in the suburbs of Graz, his father was originally from Armenia, Austrian media write.

On Tuesday morning, he killed 10 people at a school in Graz, including nine teenage girls and a female teacher, and then locked himself in the school toilet where he shot himself.

Meanwhile, new details have emerged about the farewell video the monster sent to his mother via mobile phone shortly before the attack. In it, he asked for forgiveness for "what I will do now". He then thanked his mother for the "care" he received.

According to investigators, the mother opened the video 24 minutes after receiving it - by then the massacre had already been committed and the perpetrator himself was dead.
