Missiles hit the heart of the Mossad
In the early hours of Tuesday, Iran launched a new barrage of ballistic missiles into Israeli territory, and among the targets hit was the Mossad compound in Herzliya, north of Tel Aviv.
This information was confirmed by Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), saying that it carried out strikes on the "operations planning center" of the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad in Tel Aviv, where the fire broke out, the IRGC announced.
"The air force of the IRGC, despite the presence of the most modern Israeli defense systems, hit the center for planning terrorist operations of the Mossad in Tel Aviv - this center is currently burning," according to the IRGC statement, IRNA reports. It is noted that the Iranian missile strikes also hit the Israeli military intelligence agency in Amman.
According to Iranian and Israeli media, the attack was precisely aimed at the building where the Mossad is located, as well as the infamous intelligence Unit 8200. Videos circulating on social media show the moment the missile hits the building in the Gillott area, where the headquarters of key Israeli intelligence structures are located. After the impact, thick clouds of smoke rose above Herzliya and its surroundings.
The attack comes as part of what Tehran says is a continuation of Iran's retaliation for "continuous Israeli aggression and violation of the sovereignty of other countries." Iran's Tasnim news agency published footage allegedly showing the moment a Mossad-affiliated facility was hit.
Although the incident attracted widespread attention, the Israeli media reports under strict military censorship, and it is not yet known what the extent of the damage is or whether there are any victims. Official Israeli authorities have not yet commented on the allegations about the Mossad building being hit.
Let us recall that the Gillott area, where the Mossad is located, is the heart of the Israeli intelligence community, including Unit 8200, which specializes in electronic surveillance, cyber operations, and interception of communications. If reports of a direct hit are confirmed, it could mark one of the most daring Iranian attacks on Israeli military and security structures in decades.
