Vučić from Ukraine: How did I betray Russia, when I did not sign the declaration again? PHOTO

When asked to comment on weekly Vreme writing that his visit to Ukraine was unannounced and whether it was a new balancing act or diplomatic talks, as well as that the media N1 and Nova S started talking about betrayal of the Russian Federation, Vučić answered:

"And what and who did I betray? Russia? With what? By coming to the summit, this is my fourth time at the summit of Southeast Europe and Ukraine, and I am again the only one who did not accept the declaration. Unlike them who would accept everything against Russia, everything they can. But that tells you about their complete destruction. About the fact that they no longer know what they want."

Vučić added that until yesterday those media criticized him for being a Russian agent, but now he is someone else's agent.

"Even when I protect our interests, and by protecting ours, it is always partially Russian as well as Ukrainian interests. Because we protect the interests of international public law. And we are always guided by our own interests. When you have no arguments, then you have nothing left but to hope that you will achieve something with lies. In the end, the results are always the same. Liar, liar, pants on fire. I am proud of the politics of Serbia, of our independence and we will continue to do that," said Vučić.

It was noted that he knows that there are many people in Serbia who react emotionally against Ukraine and asked what Ukraine did badly or what Ukraine did against Serbia.

"Because Ukraine is the country that did not invite the representatives of Pristina here. Are we obliged to say thank you for that? I think we are. And what can I criticize about that? Here, they allowed me to be here and to be restrained and not to sign and not to have Serbia as a signatory to the declaration. What else are you looking for? Both from Ukraine and from us. What does anyone really want from the politics of Serbia? I think this is the pinnacle that someone as a small country in the implementation of its independent independent policy can reach. I'm proud of that," Vucic said.

He added that the day he is no longer president, which will be in a year and a half or two at the latest, as he said, it will be very difficult to maintain such a policy.

"I was able to do this thanks to thousands of personal connections, relationships that I built for a long, long time with many people and managed to add that kind of personal stamp as a contribution to the independent and free politics of Serbia. I am very proud of that," said Vučić.
